Anderson & Forrester Gas Burner Orifices

Anderson & Forrester gas burner orifices are part of our complete line of plug and cap orifices.  They are most often used to meter gas into the burner section of an appliance.

Our gas burner orifices come in a variety of sizes and are made with the same quality and care as our other fittings.  We have burner orifices in a wide range of sizes and dimensions to fit almost every application.

1. Orifice Kits

Anderson & Forrester is proud to serve all of your gas supply needs.  Part of our product line is providing easy to use and durable kits.  We have a selection of seven orifice kits for you to choose from.

a. MIK 131(LP or N) Servicemen’s Orifice Assortment Kit
This orifice kit has 23 of the most commonly used burner orifices.  With this orifice kit you’ll always have the right orifice at the right time.  A very smart and economical choice!

b. MIK132(LP or N) Master Pilot Orifice Assortment Kit
The Master Pilot Orifice kit has every pilot orifice you’ll need with 32 of the most commonly requested orifices.  These are great for replacing pilot orifices by Penn Baso, Robertshaw, General Controls, Honeywell and White-Rodgers.

c. MIK135(LP or N) Special LP Plug and Cap Orifice Master Kit
This LP Plug and Cap Orifice kit is for LP only and it has almost 300 pieces, including the 23 most commonly used orifices.  All pieces in this kit are drilled to a size 72 except a few that are furnished blank.

d. MIK136(LP or N) Special LP or Natural Burner Master Kit
This kit consists of 213 pieces with 18 of the most popular orifices. The special LP or NAT Master kit is for LP or natural gas.

e. MIK137(LP or N) Special LP or Natural Pilot Master Kit
This special kit is also for LP or natural gas but it contains pilot orifices instead of burner orifices.  We have included 137 pieces with 18 of the most popular items.

f. MIK138LP Special LP Burner Master Kit
This orifice kit is for LP only and has 203 pieces with 18 of our most popular items.  A must-have for any serviceman. 

g. MIK139(LP or N) Special LP or Natural Master Burner and Pilot Orifice Kit
This kit is complete with 131 pieces total and consists of 20 of our most requested burner and pilot orifices.  All are drilled to the correct size for the gas type.  If you only have room on your truck for one kit, this is the one to have.

All of Anderson & Forrester’s orifice kits come with a chart describing all of the pieces and where they are located.  They also come in sturdy, heavy-gauge steel cabinets with a baked enamel finish.  We want to make sure you can get to your parts easily as well, so all of our kits have radius bottom sections for easy part removal.

4. MI 100

Anderson & Forrester MI 100

All you need is this one kit from Anderson & Forrester to repair 90% of all burner orifices.  The MI 100 has all the fittings and tools you’ll need to get the job done.  The tools and fittings in the MI 100 will allow you to repair damaged orifices, convert appliances to a higher BTU or even derate for altitude. 

What Exactly is the MI 100?

The MI 100 is like a rivet that allows you to drill out and ream a damaged or oversized orifice.  Once you have completed this step, you can install the MI 100 and drill it to the necessary size.

With the MI 100, you won’t have to keep as many orifices on hand or in your inventory.  Also, this kit comes in handy when the orifice you need to repair doesn’t have an available replacement.

How to install the MI100 Adaptor

  • Remove the existing orifice from the appliance and place it in the TL074 Safety Anvil, where it is secured by a thumb screw.  Ream out the orifice using a TL070 Reamer in conjunction with the TL061 Handpiece (always turn the reamer in one direction to provide a perfectly round, properly sized hole for the Adaptor).
  • Remove the orifice from the Safety Anvil and insert the Adaptor (which is tapered to allow for insertion) into the reamed hole.
  • Place the orifice (Adaptor side up) on the end of the Safety Anvil or other hard surface and use the TL063 Driving Tool and a hammer to fully seat the Adaptor.  Please note the TL063 Driving Tool is designed so that it will not damage the orifice channel during insertion.  On the end of the Safety Anvil is a small counter-sunk hole located off center; place the head of the Adaptor into this hole.
  • With the orifice in this position, insert the TL062 Crimping Tool and strike once or twice.  This will flare the inlet side of the Adaptor and allow an uninterrupted flow of gas.
